Oh dear diary, today was quite the adventure! I got so excited when Mommy said we might have a party, but then *gasp!* she found those magazines under my bed. *buries face in hands* The ones with all the pretty pictures of grown-up clothes and makeup! *peeks through fingers* I tried to tell her they were just for inspiration, but I don't think she believed me. *giggles nervously*

But you know what? Even though the party is off, I'm still really happy because Mommy's home! We might not get to dance, but maybe we can still have some fun together. Like maybe she'll read me a story or we can bake cookies! *claps hands excitedly* And tomorrow, I'll make sure my room is super tidy so she doesn't find anything else embarrassing. *winks*
